The Gerald Park Association was incorporated with the state of Connecticut in 1951. Association members are residents who live on (or own property on) Avery Shores, Ross, Washburn, Fitzgerald, Morin, Berry, Shorey, and Dooley roads, as well as a few properties on South Street.
The Association is governed by an elected 9-member Board of Directors,
who are Association members who volunteer their time to serve on the
Board. The Board of Directors follows bylaws that were established to
organize, simplify, and clarify the procedures concerning the ongoing
operation of the Association. Download our bylaws.
The
Association maintains a park and sandy beach on Avery Shores with a
roped-off swim area, picnic tables, a fire pit, and storage for canoes,
kayaks and paddleboards. Read our canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rack usage rules.
Spaces
on these racks are free to GPA members who are current in paying their GPA taxes. Information on how to reserve a space is available on our homepage.
Our beach and park are open only to members and their guests at no charge, and may be used by members for special occasions. Read our beach and park rules.
Special events held by the Association include cookouts, ice cream socials, and member meetings. See upcoming events.
The Board of Directors holds regular and special meetings each year. See a schedule of upcoming meetings and download minutes from past meetings here.
